Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov and the delegation headed by him met with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Türkiye Bekir Şahin in Ankara. The excellent operational cooperation on criminal matters between the prosecutor's offices of Bulgaria and Türkiye in the field of countering organized crime, terrorism, trafficking in human beings and narcotics was highlighted during the meeting.
The exchange of experience between Bulgarian and Turkish prosecutors in the field of investigation and financing of terrorism was also discussed.
The Bulgarian delegation also held a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Justice Hasan Yılmaz, who shared the experience of the Turkish side in the fight against terrorism, stressing that cooperation between countries, is the key to its effective counteraction.
Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov thanked Deputy Minister of Justice Hasan Yılmaz for the fruitful cooperation with the Turkish authorities and expressed confidence that it will continue in the future.
