Gebrev and V.T we provide the following additional information:

    In relation to the ongoing investigation under the supervision of Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office /SCPO/ concerning the attempt of murdering Emilian Gebrev, Hristo Gebrev and V.T and in respect to the high public interest, the Press center of Prosecution’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria presents the following additional information:

    SCPO brought in absentia accusations against three people – the Russian citizens: SERGEY VIKTOROVICH PAVLOV, SERGEY VIACHESLAVOVICH FEDOTOV and GEORGI GORSHKOV.

  • The WJC sent an official letter to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria in order to express gratitude for his efforts to combat anti-Semitism and the attempts of Bulgarian National Union Edelweiss BNU to impose hate speech in society

    The World Jewish Congress /WJC/ sent an official letter to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria in order to express  gratitude for his efforts to combat anti-Semitism and the attempts of Bulgarian National Union  Edelweiss BNU to impose hate speech in  society.

  • SOFIA CITY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE CALLED THE SOFIA CITY COURT FOR WITHDRAWAL OF THE REGISTRATION OF BULGARIAN NATIONAL UNION EDELWEISS

    On 10th February 2020 the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office made a claim to the Sofia City Court for withdrawal of the registration of Bulgarian National Union (BNU) Edelweiss, following the order of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Geshev for inspection of the non-profit organization under the procedures of civil and judicia

  • The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Geshev and the Executive Vice President of European Commission Frans Timmermans discussed the strengthening of the rule of law in the EU

    On February 5th 2020 the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Geshev met the Executive Vice President of the European commission Frans Timmermans in Brussels

  • The Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev sent official letters to the European institutions and to the Supreme Court in Belgrade in relation with the unprecedented case of the implementation of the European Convention for extradition of Bulgarian citizen

    The Prosecutor General of Republic Bulgaria Ivan Geshev sent an official letter to the Secretariat General of the Council of Europe and to the European committee for crime problems in order to inform them about difficulties in the cooperation with the Serbian authorities regarding the extradition of the Bulgarian citizen Ts.V.

    In relation to the conducted, under the supervision of Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, investigation about the attempted murder by poisoning of Emiliyan Hristov Gebrev, Hristo Emiliyanov Gebrev and V.T., three Russian citizens were charged with attempted premeditated murder. They were accused as co-perpetrators for attempting to murder the victims, in the period from 28th April 2015 to 04th May 2015 in Sofia, in a way and means dangerous for the lives of many people; as the act was committed by intoxication with unidentified organophosphorus substance.

    In relation to the press release on the official web-page of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria on 10th December 2019 /https://www.prb.bg/bg/news/aktualno/pressyob-sht-enie-57 /  and taking into account the high public interest in the investigation of  Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office for the attempted murder by poisoning of  Emiliyan Gebrev, Director General and owner of EMKO OOD; his son Hristo Gebrev and V.T., Director of Production Department of EMKO OOD, the Press center of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria submits records from the security cameras of the association underground parking . 

  • The Prosecutor general of Bulgaria Mr Sotir Tsatsarov talked about the brutal killing of Victoria Marinova in Ruse

         The Prosecutor general of Bulgaria Mr Sotir Tsatsarov gave in an interview for Nova TV about the brutal killing of Victoria Marinova in Ruse. He said the Bulgarian authorities are waiting the extradition of the suspected murderer Severin Krassimirov from Germany. The DNA traces found all over the body of the victim prove that the 21-year-old man is the perpetrator of the brutal killing. During the interrogation held in Germany the accused did not deny that he did the murder. Severin Krasimirov was arrested on 9th of October after a signal from the Bulgarian authorities.

         Mr Tsatsarov added that all possibilities concerning the murder are being investigated but the evidences indicate that it was a spontaneous sexual assault.There are no proofs found that the brutal killing is somehow related to the victim’s professional activity.

         The Prosecutor general explained that there is no information that the victim could have provoked Severin Krassimirov and that the physical injuries caused on Victoria Marinova are extremely brutal and severe. There is an evidence that the suspected murderer drank a large amount of alcohol and possibly took some kind of drugs in the hours before the killing.
