A delegation from the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Bulgaria (PORB), headed by Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov is paying a visit to Ankara, Republic of Türkye. The delegation also consists of Deputy Head of Sofia Appelate Prosecutor’s Office Emiliya Rusinova; Head of Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office Iliana Kirilova and Hristo Krastev, Deputy Head of Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office.
The visit is at the invitation of the Turkish Prosecutor General Bekir Şahin and the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Türkye Ali Yerlikaya. From Bulgarian side are also present the Minister of Interior Kalin Stoyanov, Stoyan Temelakiev, Deputy Minister of Interior, as well as the Directors of the General Directorate Combating Organised Crime and General Directorate Border Police, Chief Commissioner Yavor Serafimov and Chief Commissioner Anton Zlatanov. During the visit a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunc is planned.
Main topics of discussion between both parties will be the traditionally good cooperation in countering illegal migration and other forms of cross-border organized crime as well as the fight against terrorism. During the meetings criminal law matters of common interest will be reviewed.
